"We had already seen The Jack Dames play live at my best friend’s wedding at Broxmouth Park a few years prior to our own wedding and knew that following our engagement we’d like to book them as well.
Gaye and the rest of the Hireaband team were excellent at keeping in touch throughout the booking process and were the perfect facilitators prior to our contact with the band. Once in direct contact with Chris from The Jack Dames, we were pleased that he was prompt with his replies and made everything seamless.
As for the band’s performance on our wedding day itself - amazing! Our friends and family had nothing but compliments for the band’s sound and their choice of music pleased all tastes; even offering up their very own rendition of C’est La Vie by B*Witched with an “emo intro” at the request of “more emo music” from a close friend of ours. The Jack Dames kept our dance floor packed from the moment they arrived until last orders and home. We couldn’t be happier!

The Jack Dames - We don't care who knows it but WE LOVE WEDDINGS!
Obviously we perform at all kinds of events, from Christmas party nights, big fancy corporate events and of course birthdays and parties of every description, but we're probably best known as a modern, lively wedding band. That's fine with us because there's nothing we like to do more than help make someone's special day extra special.
We've been doing it so long now that we've become really rather good at it. Take a look at some of our reviews and see for yourself.
We feature male & female vocals from two of Scotland's most in demand singers, Ruth and Alan (who also plays lead guitar), a rock solid rhythm section from Chris on drums and Mike on bass and of course Keyboards (and ukulele) from Ting.
